This week at Wereldhuis!

Besides our Dutch, Spanish, English classes and the Faces of the World discussion evening we have some special workshops this week!

Monday, Future Orientation by ASKV / Steunpunt Vluchtelingen

Tuesday at 11.00 hrs, the Art class of Thomas Manneke will meet again and… from 12.00 to 13.30 Quinsy Gario is coming. To talk about poetry and on how to present yourself to the public.

Also on Tuesday at 15.00 hrs: Janneke Stegeman and Peter-Ben Smit of the Vrije Universiteit will host the discussion group ‘Vluchtelingen en Zingeving’. Every Tuesday from 15.00 to 17.00 hrs. They want to start a project with you, about meaning and signification of religion among refugees.

What role does religion play in processing of your experiences? What stories are meaningful to you? What happens between you and those stories? The plan is to read religious texts with a group of Wereldhuis people and to talk about this. Please join us in this afternoon.

Wednesday, Wereldhuis in the Classroom: 2 people of the Wereldhuis are guest teacher at the Metis College. After a successful pilot in October we will continue this format.

And Wednesday from 14.00 to 18 hrs. we have the Workshop Bow Tie making. Come and join us in making nice bow ties! Ernest is the initator of this creative workshop. Join us! Lisa Konno and Sarah Blok are so kind share their expertise. We will all look sharp for the coming Christmas party on 18 december!

Thursday, Women Discussion: very popular among the women of the Wereldhuis, join all women! And we have very special Dutch Classes at 17.00 hrs, Women Only. Don’t worry about your kids, they will have full entertainment by our Children team.

No Paper Work. Learn the tips and tricks on time management. And learn all about having a successful job interview. How do Dutch people approach you? Can I bridge cultural diffences, ant how? How is my body language going? How to get focused on getting the job… an keeping it!
