Geeske Hovingh (1979) studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam and did quite some research in Ghana.
After that she got a certificate to become a Social Science teacher and she taught that subject for a few years.
Somewhere along the line she ended up in ‘De Nieuwe Liefde’ a debate center in Amsterdam where she moderates
programmes, interviews people and gives lectures. Next to this she works as a volunteer in the Jeannette Noëlhuis and is therefore much
involved with migrant issues. But most of all she is the mother of an adorable two-year-old son called Otis.
